WORK of THE GREAT ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

R.I.P TO ONE OF THE GREATS

This morning I woke up to find, one of my favorite designers Alexander McQueen, had committed suicide. He was found dead in his home early this morning. No statement from PPR, the parent company of Gucci Group and McQueen, has been released as of yet. I send my most sincere condolences to his family and friends during this time.

McQueen, for those of you that don't know has been a major player in the fashion industry for
quite some time now. He has been all over the
blogosphere and red carpets recently for his McQueenadillos. Since they were featured in his Spring 2010 fashion show, they have gained notoriety from Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video and seen on tons of celebs including singer, Kelis.

The McQueenadillos are just a recent example of McQueen's unconventional designs and rebellious approach to fashion. Celebs and fashionistas everywhere have proudly been wearing his designs for years! McQueen has
designed for Givenchy and done collaborations
with both Puma and Mac.

Many have been inspired by his work, he was truly a gift to the fashion industry for the time he was here. He will be greatly missed!

Investments in Me

Young, Bright, and Beautiful…Right?....Absolutely!!!! However, while a good 75% of it comes naturally, the other 25% I have to work for Lol. So I figured I’d share some tips I’ve gathered over the years as a true product junkie and a bit of a shop-a-holic.

If you guys are anything at all like me, you’ve tried tons of products for your hair. Products promise this, that, and everything just short of transforming your hair into spun silk. However, recently, I’ve come across something I really like. It’s called Ojon, (pronounced well, I don’t really know, so I say if you can afford the pricey tag on it, pronounce it however you like)!!!! So here’s the deal…the brand is Ojon and right now they have five lines, they call rituals. There’s Intesive Repair, Hydrating, Volumizing, Shine and Protect, and Special Care. Each contains its own set of products specializing in their unique area. So far I’ve tried the Hydrating line, which included the Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as the Revitalizing Mist (leave-in conditioner and thermal protectant) in addition to the Glossing Mist from the Shine and Protect line. Each product runs from about $9-$30 depending on size. It’s an all natural line that uses the oil produced from the nuts of the Ojon tree in the rainforests of Honduras. When you purchase anything from the brand a portion of the proceeds goes towards helping the Miskito people sustain their village, without them there would be no Ojon!!!! So contributions help : ) !!!!

So when I switched to this from using a mixture of Aveda and BioLage products the goal was to go from an insanely long weekly washing my hair routine, which included pre-pooing, shampooing, and deep conditioning, all in all taking about 5 hours. Needless to say, because I have a life, I needed something that would make my routine a lot shorter and much easier to maintain. Ojon definitely did the trick. Taking my routine down to a mere hour and a half. We’re breaking records in this BeeYotch!!!!! LoL. Anyway, the good stuff, this stuff left my hair incredibly soft!!! My hair was shiny, light weight, bouncy, and smelled great!!! It stayed like that all week, the glossing mist definitely helped my hair maintain its shine and bounce!!!!

Anyway, if you guys wanna try some of this great stuff out, you can pick it up at ojon.com or at your nearest sephora. Personally, I would go to sephora and pick up a whole bunch of other stuff you want too!!!

10 Lessons I Wish Someone Would Have Taught Me -- But Instead I Learned the Hard Way…

If you use a Gold N’ Hot flat iron every day
Your hair will magically disappear before your eyes

Credit card companies are the devil and will do all that’s
Within their power to destroy your credit
College, spawn of the devil, business first, institution of learning
2nd….They want your money just as bad as the creditors
Long distance relationships, while in college, are generally a
Bad idea…no really I didn’t know that!!!
All the best tasting foods are the
Fattiest
Generally, guys are pigs
(whether they acknowledge it or not)
If you can only buy it on TV it probably
Doesn’t work
Between air brushing, weaves, and implants,
No one ever looks as great as they
Do on TV
The guy at the MAC counter isn’t always
the best pick…especially if he invites you
to his drag show!!!
Your instincts are right almost 90% of the time.
And last but most certainly not least….
Relationships never work out how they do in fairytales
That’s a load of crap!!!!!!
